About Us

Peru Lacrosse Association has been a member of World Lacrosse since 2012 and became a full-voting member in 2019. PLAX is also a founding member nation of the Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA), the third Continental Federation formed under the auspices of World Lacrosse.

President Katherine Loh has played a leadership role in PALA, serving as a founding board member, Secretary-General, and President.

Peru Lacrosse Association is proud to serve as the National Governing Body of lacrosse in Peru, guiding the sport’s growth from the national level to high-performance international play. With established presence in Lima, Arequipa, and Moquegua, through active club programs, we are committed to building opportunities for young athletes. Working with World Lacrosse and the Peru National Olympic Committee, we are preparing our Men’s and Women’s National Teams to compete on the global stage.

National Teams

Peru Lacrosse Association is the National Governing Body of lacrosse in Peru, overseeing the development of the sport across diverse regions and supporting the growth of elite athletes in our Men’s and Women’s National Teams.

Our teams compete in both the World Lacrosse Sixes discipline and traditional field lacrosse. Peru also has a growing club presence in Lima, Arequipa, and Moquegua with many active clubs fueling the development of youth and Sixes programs.

Ultimately, we aim to secure recognition by the Peru National Olympic Committee and establish lacrosse as a lasting sport in Peru.

Looking Ahead

PLAX has ambitious goals leading up to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles (LA28) and beyond. Our roadmap includes:

  • Competing in Continental Federation Qualifiers
  • Competing in the PALA Sixes Cup
